Google Alerts - Is your blog anonymous?

Is your company using WordPress for your it’s blog?
Are you set up as a user and able to add posts?
Do you think that your posts are anonymous just because your name does not appear on the blog itself?

Google Alerts may reveal your name!

Anybody who uses Google Alerts to search the web for content may come across your blog posts if their search keywords match.  Your WordPress name (Not Username) will appear alongside an abstract of the article on any Emails sent by Google Alerts.

It all depends, of course, on what text your company has used for your name when WordPress was set up, and how they have styled their blog.
